MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING OF THE
NORTHLAKE PUBLIC LIBRARY DISTRICT
BOARD OF TRUSTEES
SEPTEMBER 18, 2014 

The public hearing of the Northlake Public Library District Board of Trustees was called to order at 6:03 p.m. by Secretary Barbara Salo. Present were Board members: Gutierrez, Wright, Efta, Salo. Absent Board members: Rivera, Sydor. Also present were John Piemonte of Robert W. Baird & Co.; Susan Page, citizen; Sharon L. Highler, Library Director; and Mary Jane Garrett, Head of Technical Services.

The public hearing was held concerning the Budget and Appropriations (Ord. #14-559) for the Northlake Public Library District for the fiscal year 2014-2015.

Susan Page received a copy of the Tentative Budget and Appropriations (Ord. #14-558) to read.

6:15 p.m., President Rivera arrived.

The Board looked over Ordinance #14-559. There were few changes from the Tentative Budget and Appropriations.

Susan Page was asked if she had any questions about the Budget and Appropriations. She replied that she did not have any specific questions, but asked if there was anything like a presentation to be given about the Budget and Appropriations. The Board replied that they discussed the Tentative Budget and Appropriations at the regular meeting on August 21, 2014. All regular meetings are open to the public. This public hearing is for any additional citizen input or questions before the Budget and Appropriations is passed. There are sometimes handouts at the public hearing, but there is not a formal presentation about the budget.

No other members of the public were present.

The Board agreed to adjourn the public hearing at 6:30 p.m.
