Did you know that the Northlake Public Library District has a job club? The Job Club meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month. The challenges of a job search are much easier with the encouragement of a group. If you are looking for work, don’t do it alone. The Job Club welcomes job seekers and career changers. We often feature expert speakers. Our next meeting is on Wednesday, November 16 from, 6-7 p.m. and will be on job interviews. Career Transitions guides you through the job searching process from beginning to end, including dsicovering your interests, and creating a resume and cover letter. This resource has a super-powered job search engine. If you are using HotJobs, Mosnter, Indeed and other popular job search sites, try Career Transtions. Transition gets information from these great sites and reduces the time you spend searchingn on line. Go to www.northlakelibrary.org and click on the Reference tab at the top of the screen, research databases, select Education, Skills and Careers and select Career Transitions to get started. You can either create a profile or use the resource as a visitor. If you need help getting started, then stop by the Adult Services desk on the 2nd floor.
